2 people can attend with the purchase of one ticket. Each ticket includes one turkey to butcher and take home.
Join us for a unique, informative, and fully hands on experience with Gray Acres Farm! This interactive course is for the beginner and experienced alike and our desire is that you will walk away with the pride, knowledge and confidence to use your newly acquired skillset to provide for your own family for many years to come.
The class will begin with proper dispatching, scalding, plucking, and eviscerating techniques. Once confident with technique, participants will work through the process in a hands-on manner. Once processed, participants will be taught proper handling/storage techniques for their processed turkeys.
Upon completion of the class, each participant will leave with pride and a full working knowledge of proper turkey processing technique. Each participant will also leave class with their own fully processed, farm raised (Thanksgiving ready) turkey!
Class will begin promptly at 2:00pm. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to check in and get settled. Come prepared to work & learn. Class is estimated to finish at 5:00pm but we will work at your pace so class could run longer. We encourage note-taking and filming so come prepared with pen, paper, and filming devices. All equipment will be provided. We strongly recommend that you bring a cooler/ice to transport your processed turkeys home.
Event ticket purchases are final and cannot be refunded for any reason. This class will take place rain or shine. However, we know life can get in the way. Please contact us if you need to cancel and we will work hard to fill your spot. If we're able to fill your spot, you will receive a 100% refund of your ticket price. If we're not able to fill your spot, ticket cannot be refunded.
