FAQs

In order to allow for the best experience possible, we intentionally keep our camper groups small, maintaining a ratio of 1 camp counselor to 6 children and groups no larger than 12 children.  We feel that a small camper group will maintain safety while also allowing counselors to give individualized attention to campers.

Regardless of the specific camp theme, each camper will have a fun-filled day of outdoor exploration, games, nature crafts, hikes, and animal interactions. We spend all of our time outdoors, combining structured learning/activities with free nature play.  Camp begins at 9:00am each day and concludes at 2:00pm.

Camp is held outdoors and we encourage children to experience all that nature has to offer, even if that means playing in the rain!  Campers do have access to a large pavilion for shaded lunch-breaks and rests.  There are also 2 bathrooms at the pavilion.  In the event of severe weather, campers will be moved safely indoors and continue alternate camp activities until the weather passes.

At this time, we do not offer an after-care option.

We do not offer overnight camps at this time.

Yes. We ask that your child bring their lunch and a refillable water bottle each day. We also ask that you do not pack nuts or any nut containing products in your child's lunch.

Moisture-wicking, lightweight clothing is recommended for camp. Closed-toed shoes are required.  By the way, we love building forts, making mud-pies, and exploring the dirtiest places so don't be surprised if you pick up a mud-covered kiddo on occasion. We will do our very best to not ruin any clothing but you never know what adventures we will get into. We also ask that you send any preferred bug repellents with your child on the first day of camp.  We will not provide bug spray but will be happy to help your camper apply any sprays they bring to camp.

Each of our Camp Counselors are well known to Berkeley Farm and were hand-selected to lead camper groups.  They were selected for their experience and love of the outdoors but most importantly, they were chosen because of their desire to teach kids to reconnect with nature in a SAFE manner.  Rest assured, our #1 goal is safety.  Counselors are First Aid/CPR certified, have previous experience working with youth, and have a current background check.

Full payment is required upon registration.  Much planning and many resources have gone into ensuring your child has an exceptional experience at camp.  We will be able to issue a 90% refund up until 45 days prior to your camper's registered camp date.  Less than 45 days from the start of the camp date, there will be no refunds issued for any reason UNLESS we are able to fill your camper's spot. If space allows, we are happy to transfer your camper to another camp date.  For Spring Break Mini Camp, there will be NO REFUNDS given once a child is signed up.

We are happy to answer any additional questions.  Please feel free to call us at (501) 514-2392 or fill out the form below.
